Wines of Puglia Region

Puglia, a region in southern Italy, is famous for its production of high-quality wines. This region, characterized by hilly and flat areas, offers ideal conditions for growing vines, thanks to the climate, sun, air and soil1.

The Wines of Basilicata Region

This small region is a still unknown part of Italy gem, nestled between the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas and a mountainous hinterland made of forests and natural parks, dotted with forts erected on steep peaks, ancient Greek cities and hills sloping down to the crystal clear bays caressed by the Mediterranean sun. The mountains are more Volturino (2005 m) and the Sirino (1835 m); between the rivers, mostly torrential, the most important are the gravida, Bradano, Basento, Cavone, Agri, Sinni, to which must be added the San Giuliano Lake, Stone Petrusillo and Abate Antonia.

In the morphology of Basilicata predominate mountains and hills with nature mainly calcareous rocks. The climate, because of the reliefs available, shows continental features more than sundials, especially in the areas of Potenza and Melfi.
